The Department of River Engineering addresses all important problems in this area, particularly:

• Field measurements and investigations
• River training (riverbank, riverbed and river mouth stabilization, dikes, cut-offs, etc...)
• River engineering for navigation purposes
• Flood protection (structural and non-structural measures)
• River sediment regime studies
• Planning and management of water resources

The Department of River Engineering is especially proud of its references: Water Management Master Plans of the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Montenegro, and the Provinces of Kosovo and Vojvodina; General River Training Solutions for the Južna Morava, Zapadna Morava and Velika Morava Rivers; Study of the Ice Regime and of Ice Protection on the Danube River; and ongoing activities within the scope of the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR).
