Hydraulics

Physical and mathematical modelling, as well as prototype measurements in different fields of hydraulic engineering:
• Hydraulics of hydraulic structures (dams, sluices, discharging structures, intake and outlet structures, closed conduits, navigation locks, diversion tunnels, gates, valves, fish passage, facilities, etc.);
• River and channel hydraulics (river training works, inland waterways, water and sediment regimes, erosion, sedimentation, river mouths, river crossings, flood routing, dambreaking simulation, modelling of transport of heat and waste water);
• Maritime hydraulics (coastal defense systems, beaches, ports, harbours, jetties, intakes and outfalls, estuaries, littoral drift, sedimentation, navigation waterways);
• Prototype measurements ( power plants, pumps, gates, valves, turbines, etc.);
• Calibration of current meters;
